This course introduces the field of psychology. Gives attention to important psychological concepts, research, and basic principles of human behavior and experience as exhibited in a social and cultural context. College Handbook (2009)
Objectives:
1. To construct a thorough definition of Psychology.
2.To understand the development and progression of Psychology throughout history.
3.To clearly understand the different Psychological theories.
4.To better understand the relationship between the biological, social, and emotional elements within Psychology.
5. To become aware of many of the key mental disorders that exist and how they are often treated.
